Giesecke+Devrient ePayments America, Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced Operations Leader to head EMV production.

You will oversee safety, quality, and on-time delivery while driving Lean initiatives and developing a high-performing team across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain. The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing leadership and a track record of cost control, KPI management, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/operations leadership experience.
• Strong analytical skills, including statistical reasoning.
• Experience with operational controls, manufacturing processes, logistics, safety, and quality systems.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing and GMP principles.

Job Summary

Responsible for leading all production operations within the EMV manufacturing department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output. Accountable for achieving departmental KPIs in safety, scrap reduction, productivity, on‑time delivery, and cost control, while developing a high‑performing operations team. Drives performance through Lean manufacturing, KPI management, and strong team leadership. Partners with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and availability.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead daily EMV production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.


• Execute production schedules and ensure alignment with customer requirements and inventory accuracy.


• Monitor and improve KPIs: safety, scrap, efficiency, throughput, cost.


• Collaborate with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and rapid issue resolution.

Quality and Continuous Improvement

• Reduce scrap and rework through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.


• Ensure compliance with EMV, security, and regulatory requirements.


• Implement Lean manufacturing, standard work, and process optimization initiatives.

Cost & Performance Management

• Manage departmental budget and drive cost-reduction initiatives.


• Provide monthly performance and P&L insights to leadership.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff.


• Ensure training, cross‑training, and skill development to support operational flexibility.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues and improve performance.


• Support new product introductions and process changes.

Job Specifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.


• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/operations leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

The pay range for this position is $125,000-$145,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
