The primary objective of this role is to lead safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations that consistently meet customer demand and business objectives. The Production Manager is responsible for achieving production schedules, supporting capacity ramp-ups, improving productivity and equipment uptime, developing and training employees, controlling labor and operating costs, and maintaining a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

The Production Manager provides leadership and direction for daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production commitments are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives. This role is responsible for building a high-performing team, removing barriers to execution, and driving operational excellence through disciplined processes and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to ensure on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Drive improvements in productivity, equipment uptime, throughput, and overall manufacturing efficiency through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and supply chain teams to resolve operational challenges and eliminate production constraints.
• Develop staffing plans to support business demand, including hiring, onboarding, training, cross-training, and employee development.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability while fostering a positive, engaged, and results-oriented culture.
• Monitor and control direct labor, overtime, scrap, and departmental spending to achieve financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements while promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Lead daily and weekly production reviews, using performance metrics to identify gaps, prioritize actions, and drive results.
• Support production ramp-ups, new product introductions, and capacity expansion efforts while maintaining operational stability.
• Work closely with quality and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce variation, and enhance product quality.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, standard work, and best practices that improve consistency and performance.
• Contribute to operational planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives that support long-term business growth.
