Job summary

Smart Resources Group is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily corrugated manufacturing and warehouse operations in North Salt Lake City, UT. The role focuses on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost control, with accountability for staffing, scheduling, and process improvements.

You will partner with Sales, Purchasing, and cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, manage inventory, and develop a high-performing team through coaching and development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing.
• 3+ years in corrugated/paper products or container manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of production planning, inventory control, quality systems, and safety.
• Experience improving workflows, productivity, and efficiency.
• Ability to analyze operational data and manage costs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; WMS/ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production, warehouse, kitting, fulfillment, corrugated, and foam operations.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet production and delivery goals.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production staff and supervisors.
• Monitor productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize space.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and promote a strong safety culture.
• Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and QA processes.
• Manage labor and operating costs and support budgeting.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and other departments to meet customer requirements.

Ideal Background

Manufacturing leadership experience within corrugated products, paper converting, container manufacturing, or related production environments, with a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and team development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience in corrugated, paper products, container manufacturing (highly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, quality systems, and workplace safety.
• Experience improving workflows, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Ability to analyze operational data, manage costs, and solve production issues.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with WMS/ERP systems is a plus.
• Experience in packaging, corrugated, foam, kitting, or fulfillment operations preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
