Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Hodges, SC seeks an experienced production supervisor to oversee a complex production line, prepare schedules, resolve issues, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will supervise daily line activities, train new hires, manage scheduling, and promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in a foundry/heavy manufacturing setting. This onsite role offers relocation and does not provide visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create reports and records of production processes, issues, performance, and inventory; share with managers and suggest safety and quality improvements.
• Maintain and update operating procedures and safety/quality documentation; ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Supervise daily activities of production line workers, assign tasks, coordinate between teams, ensure safety, monitor performance in foundry environment.
• Train new hires, manage scheduling and conflicts, monitor safety, and promote internal communication for continuous improvement.

We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains

Job Summary:

Oversees and coordinates the activities of a more complex production line, prepares schedules, resolves issues, and ensures safety and quality standards.

What you will do:

• Creating reports and records of production processes, tools issues performance, and inventory; sharing them with managers and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.
• Preparing, maintaining, and updating documentation related to operating procedures and safety and quality standards; ensuring all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards.
• Supervising and directing the daily activities of production lines workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance in a foundry environment.
• Training new hires, managing scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What you will have:

Data Gathering & Analysis: Basic knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

Performance Management: Working knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Working knowledge and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Basic understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience in MS office products
• Prior experience in a foundry environment or heavy manufacturing
• Experienced in MRP systems

Additional Information:

• Travel requirements less than 10%
• 2nd Shift hours - 2:30 - 11:00 pm
• This position is located in Hodges, SC

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
