Job summary

Pacific Supply is seeking a Production Manager with strong leadership to oversee shipments, receiving, and yard operations for our building products distribution network. You will ensure timely, economical and reliable service to customers under the Branch Manager’s supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating loads, scheduling, cycle counts, and maintaining purchasing/receiving processes. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of supervisory experience; traffic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• 1 year in traffic operations is preferred but not required.
• Multi-vehicle scheduling experience is preferred but not required.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Furnishes a load list with truck loading instructions and delivery sequence to yard personnel.
• Coordinates daily pre-staging of loads and the following day’s schedules for efficient truck times.
• Conducts and/or supervises cycle counts and physical inventories and reports results.
• Supervises and maintains purchasing and receiving processes as established by the Company.

Job Description

We are looking for a Production Manager with experience in management and the building products industry to join our team. Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for the timely and proper shipment and receiving of all materials, supervises operations to ensure efficient, economical and reliable service to customers, and performs duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Furnishes a load list with truck loading instructions and delivery sequence to yard personnel.
• Coordinates daily pre-staging of loads and the following day’s schedules ensuring speedy in-and-out times of trucks on second and third runs.
• Conducts and/or supervises cycle counts and physical inventories and is responsible for accurate reporting of results.
• Supervises and maintains purchasing and receiving processes as established by the Company.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum 1 year experience in traffic operations preferred but not required.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience required.
• Multi-vehicle scheduling experience preferred but not required.
• Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Previous experience of jobsite deliveries preferred but not required.
