Job summary

Accelera in Reading, PA is seeking a Production Supervisor to monitor production processes, lead a team, and ensure safe and compliant operations. The role requires coordinating budgets, implementing inventory and cost-control programs, and driving productivity on the shop floor.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of manufacturing experience (food/meat preferred), strong communication skills, and the ability to lead people while adhering to HACCP, GMP and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure goals are met and schedules are followed.

Essential Duties of the Job but not limited to the following:

• Monitoring the production processes to ensure goals are being met; schedules are followed
• Meet set budget and department goals
• Managing, direct, training and motivating a team of workers through effective communication
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs
• Ensure that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
• Prepare, maintain and submit production reports timely and accurately.
• Ensure that HACCP, GMPs and OSHA guidelines are being followed
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance,
• Perform evaluation reviews on all production supervisors
• Resolve (proactively) employee disciplinary issues/concerns with assistance from Plant Manager/HR
• Communicate and work cooperatively with members of the department and other plant employees
• Comply with all Federal, State and Company Safety guidelines
• use all safety devices to make others aware of any safety concerns

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum High School Diploma, additional education/certification preferred but not mandatory
• 5-10 years manufacturing experience (Food/meat industry preferred)
• Must have a thorough understanding of Company policies and working rules
