Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products seeks a Value Stream Manager for the Tamaqua, PA manufacturing facility. You will lead a value stream, drive Lean and RBPS initiatives, and coordinate between production, maintenance, engineering and quality to optimize safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The role emphasizes coaching, problem solving, and delivering measurable improvements. Travel may be required to support multiple lines and plant-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive process improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead value stream performance for extrusion or converting operations to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Drive SBP/ RBPS alignment and use Lean principles to eliminate waste and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and translate opportunities into sustainable manufacturing results.
  • Develop and implement RBPS auditing strategy and continuous improvement initiatives within the value stream.
  • Partner with plant leadership and other functions to maintain alignment with broader operations goals.

We currently have an opportunity for a Value Stream Manager at our Manufacturing Facilityin Tamaqua, PA.

Responsibilities

The Value Stream Manager leads the performance and continuous improvement of an assigned manufacturing value stream, including extrusion or converting operations, to safely deliver high-quality products at optimal efficiency and cost. Drives alignment between production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and other functions to eliminate waste, strengthen process stability, and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Provides leadership for the Lean Management System and Reynolds Boundless Performance System (RBPS), translating operational data into actionable improvements and sustainable results. Exercises independent judgment in setting priorities, leading cross-functional improvement efforts, developing team capability, and ensuring value stream performance supports plant and business objectives.

Value Stream Leadership

  • Lead assigned extrusion or converting operations to achieve safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing performance.
  • Drive value stream performance against safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives to strengthen plant results and customer satisfaction.
  • Align value stream priorities with plant and business strategies while balancing operational requirements, resource needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, eliminate waste, and improve end-to-end value stream performance.
  • Bridge technical and operational teams to translate process improvement opportunities into sustainable manufacturing results.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive implementation and sustainability of the Reynolds Boundless Performance System (RBPS) within the assigned value stream and facility.
  • Develop and maintain an RBPS auditing strategy that strengthens adoption, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Apply Lean principles and structured problem-solving to eliminate scrap, overproduction, delays, process variability, and other sources of waste.
  • Use value stream mapping, Gemba observations, and standard work to identify opportunities and improve process flow and operational discipline.
  • Lead initiatives that improve process stability and capability while increasing productivity and reducing operational losses.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve chronic process and equipment issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation and scale-up of new processes and manufacturing improvements to achieve stable and efficient operations.

Performance Management

  • Establish and maintain meaningful performance measures that directly connect daily management activity to manufacturing results.
  • Define and monitor financial savings and improvement targets to demonstrate measurable value from continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze operational performance and translate data into prioritized actions that improve value stream results.
  • Identify emerging performance gaps and lead corrective actions before they materially affect safety, quality, delivery, or cost.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean improvement projects that deliver measurable gains in productivity, quality, cost, safety, and operational reliability.
  • Teach and coach employees to identify waste, solve problems, and lead improvement efforts using structured methodologies.
  • Establish clear ownership and expectations for improvement activities to promote accountability and sustained results.
  • Promote continuous improvement by challenging current-state performance and developing practical solutions that advance operational effectiveness.

Talent and Team Development

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development that builds high-performing teams and strengthens continuous improvement capability.
  • Oversee staffing, training, and development activities within the value stream to support operational requirements and organizational capability.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Develop employees' ability to lead improvement efforts and apply effective problem-solving practices.

Business Partnership

  • Partner with plant leadership and other functions to ensure value stream priorities remain aligned with broader operational and business objectives.
  • Serve as a key liaison across departments to remove barriers, improve coordination, and strengthen overall plant performance.
  • Share effective practices and improvement opportunities across manufacturing operations to support broader adoption of Lean management principles.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • 6+ years of progressive process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience managing and developing diverse teams.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, process improvement, Lean principles, and value stream management.
  • Knowledge of 5S, SMED, TPM, value stream mapping, PDCA or equivalent improvement methodologies, and A3 problem solving.
  • Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Proven skill in translating operational data into tangible manufacturing results.
  • Sound judgment in connecting production needs with plant goals and business objectives.
  • Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness leading through influence and building cross-functional partnerships.

Bonus Eligibility
