Paycom - ATS is seeking a Production Manager to lead the operations supervisory staff to achieve production goals, cost targets, and GMP compliance. You will supervise training and placement of staff to maximize safety and productivity, manage yields and margins, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in business/management/operations and at least 5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or operations is required.
  • 5 years’ work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent reading, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate PC proficiency and MS Office experience.
  • Accurate typing and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and present information clearly.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Directs supervisory personnel in day-to-day production operations, including yields, margins, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Ensures staff meet Productivity, Attendance, Safety, and Quality standards and communicates routinely with employees.
  • Oversees SOPs and KPIs to maximize productivity and reduce turnover.
  • Champions safety, USDA compliance, and labor/employee relations.
  • Works with Human Resources to recruit, train, and retain qualified talent across operations.
  • Supports continuous improvement and succession planning within the team.

Job Title: Production ManagerReports to: General or Plant ManagerSummary: This position has the overall responsibility for managing the operation’s supervisory staff toensure that production and cost elements are achieved, product is within the required specifications andcompliant with Good Manufacturing Practices, and subordinate exempt and non-exempt talent isselected, trained, and properly placed to maximize safety and production.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Directs supervisory personnel in the management of the day-to-day production operations of thebusiness that includes, but is not limited to, achieving yields, gross margins, scheduling, both rawand finished goods, and human capital management.• Ensures that overall company strategy becomes tactically meaningful by guiding supervisors toensure their employees are meeting Performance Measurement Standards (e.g. productivity,attendance, tardiness, safety, and quality), and that the supervisors are communicating withemployees regarding pertinent information for daily, event or seasonal business issues.• Manages workflow and oversees the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for operations tomaximize Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) ensures that individual employee’s productivitysupport business objectives and to establish an engaged workforce through efforts such as thetraining of staff and the reduction of turnover.• Engaged in all efforts related to loss prevention, risk management, USDA compliance, andlabor/employee relations. Champion employee safety by promoting, maximizing, and promptlycorrecting or addressing any potential safety issues.• Works closely with Human resources to ensure the recruitment, selection, training & development,and retention of qualified talent in all operational areas. Champions the training and development ofexisting staff to ensure engagement and succession planning bench strength as appropriate.Education/Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or operations, with 5 years’ work experience or theequivalent combination of education and relevant experience.• Excellent reading, communication, and organizational skills. Must possess intermediate proficiencyin the use of a Personal Computer (PC) and related Microsoft business software. Accurate typingskills and/or data entry skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of U.S. currency,weight, volume, and distance measurements, etc.• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability toread and interpret documents and write routine correspondence. Responds promptly andprofessionally to customer needs. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to otherassociates of the organization. Ability to deliver presentations regarding potentially controversialissues, which involve negotiation, and influence positive outcomes among groups of varyingpositions.• Possess functional analytical skills, strategic planning, and a commitment to continuousimprovement.
