Job summary

Rensa Filtration, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the Plant in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role directs production lines, teams, and safety initiatives to ensure efficient manufacturing and quality outputs.

You will plan schedules, optimize processes, monitor performance, and collaborate with maintenance and other departments to meet production targets and uphold safety standards.

Summary

The PRODUCTION MANAGER oversees manufacturing and is responsible for the planning, organizing and directing of all production personnel and operations. Responsible for running all production lines and the quality of products coming from those lines. Ability to direct personnel towards the production and safety goals for the plant. Decision-making and problem-solving take the maximum amount of time every day.

Essential Position Duties & Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities

• Plan production schedule, communicate and track schedule with production team.
• Work with production team to assign the necessary resources towards each respective department.
• Direct production and maintenance personnel to optimize and maintain all equipment.
• Monitor processes and adjust to maximize efficiency.
• Run the preventative maintenance system to ensure machine effectiveness.
• Work with all departments to maintain a flow of efficient jobs throughout the plant.
• Work with other managers and staff to implement company policies.
• Analyze data, make reports, and react to report data to run production.
• Review team members performance.
• Maintain Safety & training system and identify training needs.
• Track & report daily Quality data findings, publish weekly / monthly DPM results
• Support necessary manufacturing data details, for supplier audits
• Support customer product & UL compliance with documentation requirements.
• Support monthly inventory and end of month accounting close process
• Support purchasing materials when necessary

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly.
• Proficient with basic math and equations.
• Proficient with computers (Microsoft office suite, especially excel).
• Self-starter.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple areas and tasks.
• Support weekend production coverage.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stoop, stand and walk; use hands to feel or handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
