Job summary

Cartamundi in Dallas, TX is seeking a Print Production Manager to ensure equipment runs efficiently and production meets quality standards. You will inventory, place supply orders, resolve team disputes, and uphold safety across the Pressroom for high-value accounts.

Five years in manufacturing and two years in supervision are required, with strong leadership and communication skills. Offset printing experience is a plus, and the role is on-site in Dallas with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment and 2-year supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a printing manufacturing environment.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Printing experience, desired. Offset Printing experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate, recommend and implement manufacturing policies and programs which maintains and improves the company's competitive edge and profitability.
  • Direct and coordinate activities so products are manufactured to specifications and on schedule, within quality and cost objectives.
  • Ensure objectives are achieved at the lowest cost with quality requirements.
  • Maintain safety and health standards to keep an accident-free environment.
  • Communicate with upper management about production issues.
  • Ensure material and supplies are available for each production department.
  • Participate in production meetings and management-required meetings.
  • Review operating performance reports with supervisors.
  • Reduce spoiled-work and waste.
  • Conduct special projects and drive Continuous Improvement.
  • Identify, train, hire, and sustain talent.

The Production Manager will be responsible to ensure that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase organization’s efficiencies. The Production Manager will perform tasks such as taking inventory, making supply orders, handling disputes among team members and regularly assessing safety standards in all areas of the Pressroom for multi -million-dollar global account(s).

What you’ll do as a Print Production Manager:
  • Formulate, recommend and implement manufacturing policies and programs which maintains and improves the company's competitive edge and the profitability of the operations.
  • Direct and coordinate those activities so that products are manufactured to specifications and on schedule, and within quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Assure that company objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements and company goals.
  • Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident- free
  • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Ensure that all material and supplies are available for each production department's operation.
  • Ensure that production meetings occur and participate in other meetings required by management.
  • Review operating performance reports on a regular basis with supervisors.
  • Responsible for reducing spoiled-work and waste.
  • Conduct special projects as requested by management.
  • Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Identify, train, hire, and sustain talent.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Must be able stand and walk throughout shift, lift or move 35 pounds
  • Environment is climate controlled and indoors
  • This Production Manager position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
