Salary Range: $77,000.00 To $107,000.00 Annually

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, leading production meetings, coordinating with department managers, and ensuring quality standards are met. A strong understanding of construction management principles, including project scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination, is essential.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage the entire production effort, including pre-production, fabrication, painting, wrapping, labeling, manifesting, shipping, and installation, using construction management techniques.

Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring accurate timelines, task dependencies, and resource allocation, and communicate these to the project manager and team.

Oversee project budgets, working closely with the project manager to ensure efficient use of resources and staying within financial parameters.

Implement quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure projects meet established standards and specifications.

Manage subcontractors on assigned projects, ensuring their work aligns with project timelines, quality expectations, and safety regulations.

Conduct regular reviews of project drawings, construction plans, and material specifications to ensure feasibility and accuracy before distribution.

Facilitate coordination between departments, ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflow from design to fabrication and installation.

Produce cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.

Oversee sourcing and purchasing of materials, ensuring that all orders are accurate, cost-effective, and delivered on schedule.

Coordinate project equipment rentals, transportation requirements, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and setup at job sites.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor production progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Implement construction project management software to streamline scheduling, task management, and resource allocation.

Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and change orders, to track project progress and ensure transparency.

Manage the project closeout process, ensuring all aspects are completed to specifications and conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in scenic fabrication or a related construction/production environment. (preferred)

Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Proficient in project management software and construction scheduling tools.

Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate complex, multi-phase projects.

Strong leadership qualities with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear project reports and documentation.

Comprehensive understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipment.

Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand 4-8 hour a day, and be able to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use.
