Job summary

Superior Essex Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to direct and coordinate activities related to the production of company products through subordinate supervisors.

The role emphasizes establishing production standards, budgeting, and coordinating with Procurement, Maintenance and Quality Control to maximize efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Three (3) years of related experience and /or training.
• Analytical skills.
• Supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.
• Plans and directs production activities and established production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost containment factors.
• Coordinates production activities with Procurement, Maintenance and Quality Control agendas to obtain optimum production and utilisation of human resources, machines and equipment.
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine performance to goal and causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Revises production schedules and priorities, as result of, equipment failure or operational issues.
