Job summary

Trees, LLC is seeking a Production Manager to lead field teams, oversee budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across vegetation management operations. You will guide forepersons, coordinate manpower, and act as the primary point of contact for after-hours and storm-related work.

Production Manager

This position is responsible for working with the Account Manager/Supervisors, establishing annual work plans and ensuring all goals are achieved.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage budget and mileage goals established.
  • Evaluate crews for production efficiency and determine methods to improve.
  • Provide conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Coordinate manpower fluctuations.
  • Educate customers, community groups and jurisdictions concerning potential vegetation/electric conflict hazards.
  • Mentor and development of general forepersons.
  • Mentor and development of crew members.
  • Ensure that maintenance programs meet all federal regulations and/or utility standards.
  • Primary contact for after-hour tree crew requests and/or storm-related activity.
  • Insure proper billing.
  • Oversee the Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to effectively direct, motivate, and develop teams in a production or field environment.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and standard business software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, production or reporting systems).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to safely operate an approved company vehicle in accordance with company policy and applicable driving requirements.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Vegetation Management General Foreperson required.
Pre-Screen
  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications
  • Driver's License required.
  • ISA Certification required.
Travel Requirements
  • Availability for occasional travel and overnight stays to support regional operations and storm related work.

Safety

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
