Job summary

MCC Label, a global leader in premium labels, invites applications for a Production Manager to oversee site production operations in a safety‑driven, cost‑conscious environment. The role requires building strong teams and leading continuous improvement efforts across safety, quality, and delivery metrics.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering/Industrial Technology or Business with at least 7 years in Operations/Lean Management, preferably in printing, and possess change‑agent

Qualifications

  • Hands-on leader with integrity and strong business acumen.
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent (10 years of staff leadership).
  • Minimum of 7 years in Operations and/or Lean Management.
  • Printing industry experience preferred.
  • Experience as a change agent in complex transformational initiatives.
  • Structured problem-solving approach to identify root causes and countermeasures.
  • Excellent communication skills and advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Directs site production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Promotes safety initiatives and improves safety performance.
  • Executes quality control plans and drives variance reduction.
  • Assesses on-time delivery and implements corrective actions.
  • Manages labor, overtime, and expenditures to control costs.
  • Plans staffing weekly and redeploys resources as priorities shift.
  • Analyzes production reports to identify root causes of budget variances and drives actions.
  • Leads Lean initiatives to improve productivity and reduce lead times.

The Production Manager is responsible for overall site production operations. Creates a work environment which promotes safety, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. Effectively develops teams that can achieve corporate improvement objectives. Accountable for all aspects of plant production performance while ensuring objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner. Drives best practices through the organization and leads processimprovement.

Responsibilities:
  • Directly,andthroughdelegation,coordinatesactivitiesrequiredtoassuresafety,quality,delivery,and cost meet specified targets.
  • Assuresthecomplianceofbehavior-basedsafetyinitiativesandcontinuouslyimprovessafetyperformance.
  • Executesqualitycontrolplansforcompliance tostandardsanddrivesvariationreductionwithintheprocess.
  • Assesseson-timedeliveryperformanceanddevelopsactionstoimproveandsustainhighlevelofperformance.
  • Holdsdirectresponsibilityformanagingcostbyeffectivemanagementoflabor,overtime,andexpenditures.
  • Determinestaffingrequirementsweeklyandre-deployresourcesduringtheweekasneededtoaddress any shifting staffing needs or changes in priorities and scheduling.
  • Reviewsandanalyzesproductionreportstodeterminerootcausesofvariancefrombudget,anddevelops and executes corrective actions, using structured root cause analysis, MDI and Policy Deploymentmethodologies.
  • UsingLeanprinciples,formteamsandinvolvepeopletoimproveproductivity,decreaseleadtimes, reduce waste and attain customer quality requirements.
  • Reviewsandanalyzesproductionreportstodeterminerootcausesofvariancefrombudgetanddevelops and executes corrective actions.
  • RecommendandinitiatecostreductionprogramscenteredaroundcapitalimprovementswhereROIand pay back criteria are favorable.
  • Promotes,prepares,andparticipatesinkaizenactivities.Sustainsresults.
  • FacilitatestheexecutionofdailyGembawalkby assuringtheproperutilizationofhour-by-hour,SQDC boards and War Room tools.
  • InconjunctionwithHumanResourceManager,coordinatesappropriate“requiredtooperate”and “required on roles” staffing levels.
  • Directstheeffortsofplantsupervisiontoensuretheconsistentapplicationofhumanresourcepolicies, procedures, and plant rules.Assures adherence to safety accountability guidelines.
  • Coachesandmentorsteammemberstoassuretheirongoingdevelopment
  • Staysabreastofnewtrendsanddevelopmentsinmethods,techniques,equipment,tools,materials,and supplies,whichmightbeincorporatedinto theproductionprocesstoincreaseefficiencyorbetteruseof resources.Researches and recommends capital equipment purchases.
  • Participatesinspecialprojectsandperformsotherdutiesasassigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ahands-onleaderthatisarolemodelwithhigh integrity,positiveinfluence,andstrongbusinessacumen that embraces change, possesses a continuous improvement mindset, and has a passion for exceeding customer and company expectations.
  • DegreeinEngineering,IndustrialTechnologyorBusinessorequivalent10yearsofstafflevelleadershipexperience.
  • Minimumof7years'experienceinOperationsand/orLeanManagement.
  • Printingindustryexperienceispreferred.
  • Experienceinbeingachangeagentincomplextransformationalactivities.
  • Significantexperienceinimplementationof Leanprincipalsastheyapplytomanufacturingoperations.
  • Ability toapplystructuredproblem-solvingmethodologiestodeterminerootcauseofproblemsand provide effective countermeasures.
