Job summary

JBS Prepared Foods in Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking a Production Maintenance team member to keep Formax, Alkar, Multivac, Flex-Vac and Slicer equipment running smoothly.

You will work 40+ hours, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read schematics, and complete work orders while following Safety procedures; strong English required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications.
• Previous production maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Complete assigned work orders.
• Adhere to safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out and other safety equipment.
• Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Oversee mechanical work of equipment.
• Correct or facilitate corrective actions when downtime results from defects.
• Support pre-operational inspections and maintenance concerns for production.
• Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.
