Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group is seeking an experienced Production Maintenance Tech to support plant operations in Atlanta. The role is non-exempt, hourly, and focuses on maintaining and repairing diverse equipment up to 480-volt systems.

Key duties include preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and close collaboration with production staff to minimize downtime. Must lift up to 70 lbs, stand for long periods, and operate safely in hot environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial maintenance.
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems, PLC, AC/DC drivers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs., and work in hot environments.
• Good English written communication.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including replacing motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery up to three phases 480-volt energy.
• Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records to ensure safe, reliable equipment.
• Serves as point person for production personnel in regard to preventative maintenance and problem equipment troubleshooting.
• Diagnoses and repair forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment
• Maintains and refills parts inventory
• Provides prompt response to and resolution of unplanned equipment failures resulting in production down time.
• Effectively communicates with machine operators and supervisors including equipment issues and safety concerns and in fractions.
• Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Position Purpose: Provides maintenance support for the plant.

Principle Accountabilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including replacing motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery up to and including three phases 480-volt energy.
• Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records to ensure safe, reliable equipment.
• Serves as point person for production personnel in regard to preventative maintenance and problem equipment troubleshooting.
• Diagnoses and repair forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment
• Maintains and refills parts inventory
• Provides prompt response to and resolution of unplanned equipment failures resulting in production down time.
• Effectively communicates with machine operators and supervisors including equipment issues and safety concerns and in fractions.
• Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 5+ Years in Industrial Maintenance required.
• Extensive knowledge troubleshooting and issue resolution of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, circuitry, PLC, AC/DC drivers, and welding fabrication required.
• Intermediate math and computer skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Demonstrates proper usage of personal protective equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lifting up to 70 lbs., and work in hot environments on a constant basis.

• Ability to meet objectives and deadlines with minimum supervision required.
