Job summary

TE-CO Manufacturing LLC, a family-owned producer of workholding solutions, is seeking a Production Machinist to set up and operate machine tools to produce metal parts meeting tight tolerances. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and efficiency in a climate-controlled environment.

The 1st shift runs 6:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. Prior assembly experience is a plus, but training is provided on the job to help you advance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and monitoring machinery.

• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Competency in basic mathematics and measurement.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints to determine part dimensions, tolerances, operation sequence, and setup needs.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials for production machines.
• Start and monitor machine operations, identifying and correcting malfunctions or deviations.
• Verify finished workpieces meet specifications using precision measuring instruments; file, sand, shape, or clean machined parts as necessary.
• Accurately document production data, including piece counts, and assist in setting and optimizing production standards.

The Production Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to manufacture metal parts that meet precise specifications. This role is essential in maintaining production quality, optimizing efficiency, and contributing to a clean and safe work environment. 1ST SHIFT PRODUCTION MACHINIST

Seeking an individual with a proven work history. Prior assembly experience preferred but not required.

ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED

1st SHIFT HOURS

6:00 A.M. -4:30 P.M. MONDAY-THURSDAY (Scheduled overtime may be required to support operational priorities)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machine Operations:
• Interpret blueprints to determine part dimensions, tolerances, operation sequence, and setup needs.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials for production machines.
• Start and monitor machine operations, identifying and correcting malfunctions or deviations.
• Quality Control:
• Verify finished workpieces meet specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• File, sand, shape, or clean machined parts as necessary.
• Maintenance & Organization:
• Suggest or replace worn machine accessories to maintain performance.
• Monitor and replenish coolant levels.
• Keep machines and surrounding areas clean and organized, removing chips daily.
• Request necessary supplies and tools proactively.
• Process Improvement & Reporting:
• Accurately document production data, including piece counts.
• Assist in setting and optimizing production standards.
• Develop or update process documentation when needed.
• General Duties:
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
