Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate production equipment, interpret blueprints, and adjust settings to meet specifications. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and documentation as the operator ensures accurate labor data is recorded.

Experience is not required; training is provided on orientation and several days on the production floor to prepare you for the job. The environment may be loud and physically demanding.

Qualifications

• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to read, interpret and apply blueprints, weld symbols and procedures.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading/writing & verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance as required.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and work orders to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.
• Obtains material, parts and tools as needed to complete job.
• Sets up, adjusts and operates equipment in a safe, efficient and accurate manner to produce required parts.
• Works to reduce scrap and improve quality.
• Checks work to make sure it meets specifications and tolerances.
