Job summary

FASTSIGNS is seeking a strong, hands-on Production Manager to own the day-to-day production operation. You will lead the production team, manage schedules, materials, equipment, quality, deadlines, workflow, and profitability.

This role requires a leader who can delegate, prioritize, make decisions, and hold a team accountable. It is not a desk job and offers a full-time, on-site opportunity with growth potential and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or production leadership experience.
• Sign-industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills.
• Excellent organization, scheduling, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations and workflow.
• Own production schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
• Assign workloads and manage team capacity.
• Lead, coach, train, and hold production employees accountable.
• Identify delays, bottlenecks, and problems before they impact deadlines.
• Maintain strong quality-control standards.
• Order materials and manage inventory needs.
• Coordinate shipping, deliveries, and outgoing completed projects.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and production needs.
• Maintain safety standards and an organized work environment.
• Lead production/WIP meetings and communicate priorities.
• Track labor efficiency, material usage, job costing, and department KPIs.
• Develop and improve SOPs, systems, and production processes.
• Work closely with sales, design, project management, and leadership to keep projects moving.
• Help build a production department that is organized, efficient, accountable, and profitable.
