Safran Nacelles in Mobile, Alabama, seeks a Podding Team Lead to oversee daily operations of the Podding/OSS FAL Support team, ensuring safe, compliant nacelle maintenance and engine integration activities in alignment with FAA and SAFRAN standards.

You will allocate work to 5–8 A&P licensed mechanics, coordinate with planning, supply chain, engineering and quality, and drive improvements to meet production schedules while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of kitting, podding, cleaning, inspection, assembly and OSS FAL Support.
  • Assign work to mechanics based on qualifications, workload priorities, shift coverage, and schedule to meet on-time targets.
  • Monitor workflow, remove bottlenecks, and escalate issues to optimize shopfloor operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, Podding Station Manuals, Quality policies, FAA regulations, and SAFRAN process standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to mechanics; ensure accessibility of technical data for Podding; support troubleshooting at Airbus FAL.
  • Review and validate work; ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with Safran Nacelle requirements.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Planning to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Coordinate personnel work hours, time off, shift schedules, and overtime to meet customer requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

This role ensures safe, compliant, quality, and efficient execution of nacelle maintenance and engine integration activities to include FAL OSS Support. In alignment with SAFRAN standards, FAA regulations, customer requirements, and internal operational targets.
