Job Purpose

The Production Lead balances hands‑on manufacturing with frontline leadership. In this role, you will perform a variety of complex electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations—including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing—while adhering strictly to blueprint specifications. Additionally, you will guide and support the assembly team, coordinate daily workflow, and drive continuous improvement to ensure safety, quality, and production schedules are met.

Nature Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with supervisor and other team support to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Use basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
• Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to the Production Supervisor/Manager.
• Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
• Complete lot acceptance activities for the assigned assembly cell.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
• Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.
• Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Participate as an active member of the production assembly team and assembles products.
• Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

Education & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly manufacturing.
• Experience leading teams or projects is strongly desired.
• Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to work with others collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills.

Salary Range(annual): $58,240 - $66,560 ($28 - $32 / hour)

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
