Job summary

NDS in Lithia Springs, GA, is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct and coordinate all injection molding operations. You will lead the molding floor team, interpret schedules and work orders, and ensure safe, high‑quality output.

Key duties include setting up machines, performing changes, running reports, training workers, enforcing safety and housekeeping standards, and driving continuous improvement. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year in injection molding,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in injection molding operations.
• Certified or certifiable to operate an industrial forklift.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding practices.
• Ability to supervise groups of people.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Direct and coordinate all activities related to the injection molding operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce all company safety and housekeeping policies, practices and goals.
• Run all necessary computerized reports.
• Interpret injection molding schedules and work orders and assign duties.
• Set up molding machines to run safely, quality products at optimum productivity.
• Perform product changes (ID and resin type and color) on the machines.
• Perform nozzle filter cleaning and changes as needed.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and change machine set‑ups as necessary for best quality and cycle time performance.
• Provide and facilitate all the needs of the production operators for optimal performance.
• Recommend measures and strive towards improving safety, quality, production methods, and equipment performance.
• Analyze and assist production operators in solving work problems.
• Review and prepare as needed daily production reports.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Train workers on how to safely perform their duties.
• Be a role model in applying the NDS Core Values.
• Perform any other jobs as directed from time to time in order to perform the duties of production workers, molding floor workers, and pallet movers.

Position Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Experience: Minimum one-year work experience in injection molding operations and manufacturing.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified or certifiable to operate an industrial forklift.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Fluent in reading, writing and speaking in English language.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing practices, especially in plastics injection molding.
• Ability to operate an industrial forklift.
• Ability to supervise groups of people.

Work Conditions

• Occasionally cold, hot, moving mechanical parts, confined work areas and high noise levelQt (hearing protection will be provided).

Training, Safety and PPE Requirements

All employees will receive training in our ISO management systems, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015; as well as all OSHA & Safety required trainings in accordance with their job duties/department.

All employees are required to adhere to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements on production floor set forth by the EHS & Management Team. Employees are required to wear 3 forms of PPE when entering production:

• Safety Glasses – ANSI Z87.
• Ear Plugs.
• Safety Shoes – steel toe, Composite, Alloy. Shoe covers are meant for visitors only and are not acceptable as safety shoes for employees unless approved by safety.

Dependent on the station/department that the employee works, more PPE can be required.
