Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Memphis, TN is seeking an entry-level Laundry Equipment Operator to join our industrial laundry team. You will handle merchandise, operate washers and dryers, and ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency in daily cycles.

The role requires following safety procedures, checking machines, recording batch tickets, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. High school diploma is preferred, and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Check all machine safety devices before operating equipment and record safety forms.
• Retrieve sling and maneuvers sling to washer/dryer area and verify batches.
• Position washer/dryer, load items, select formula, and start unit.
• Record batch ticket information on the washer/dryer form.
• Enter weight from batch ticket into SOFTROL for washers; manage sling for dryers.
• Unload washer and dryer, ensure proper moisture levels and cooling, and place items in carts.
• Identify torn slings and remove them from the system; keep area safe and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
