Job summary

Fabcon is hiring a Production Laborer in Grandville, MI, to support the manufacturing of high-quality precast concrete products. The role offers two shifts and a competitive benefits package.

You will operate forklifts and skid steers, read blueprints, and help prepare and finish concrete components to meet specs. Starting pay is $20 per hour with a $2 premium on the 3rd shift; overtime opportunities are available as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up precast concrete production beds using drawings, layouts, reveals and steel plates.
• Read and interpret blueprints to install blockouts and ensure products meet specifications.
• Monitor concrete placement and casting operations to maintain quality standards.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, skid steers, and other production machinery.
• Assist with equipment setup for casting, finishing, and production processes.
• Perform finishing work such as grinding, cleaning, and surface preparation of concrete products.
• Safely rig, move, and secure finished products using clamps and lifting equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while supporting daily production goals.

Salary Range:

Starting at $20/per hour. $2.00 premium for 3rd shift

Requirements

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions with little to no climate control and regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, vibrations, varying lighting conditions, stairs, and narrow walkways.
• Requires the ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, bend, reach, use hand tools with force, maintain spatial awareness and depth perception, and communicate effectively in a busy industrial environment.
• Ability to carry out complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
• Ability to work overtime when required.

Responsabilidades Clave

• Preparar las camas de producción de concreto prefabricado utilizando planos, diseños, separadores y placas de acero.
• Leer e interpretar planos para instalar bloqueos (blockouts) y garantizar que los productos cumplan con las especificaciones.
• Supervisar la colocación y el proceso de vaciado del concreto para mantener los estándares de calidad.
• Operar equipos pesados, incluidos montacargas, minicargadores (skid steers) y otra maquinaria de producción.
• Ayudar con la preparación y configuración de equipos para procesos de vaciado, acabado y producción.
• Realizar trabajos de acabado, como esmerilado, limpieza y preparación de superficies de productos de concreto.
• Manipular, mover y asegurar de forma segura los productos terminados utilizando abrazaderas y equipos de elevación.
• Mantener un ambiente de trabajo seguro, limpio y organizado mientras apoya los objetivos diarios de producción.

Requisitos

• Debe poder trabajar en todas las condiciones climáticas con poco o ningún control ambiental, y con exposición regular al polvo, suciedad, ruido, vibraciones, condiciones variables de iluminación, escaleras y pasillos estrechos. Se requiere la capacidad de levantar y mover con seguridad hasta 50 libras, caminar, subir escaleras, agacharse, estirarse, utilizar herramientas manuales aplicando fuerza, mantener conciencia espacial y percepción de profundidad, y comunicarse eficazmente en un entorno industrial dinámico.
