Job summary

Nucor invites applications for a plant operator role in Monroe, NC. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance while you operate and monitor production equipment on a 3:30PM–11:30PM shift.

Candidates will work with forklifts and other mobile equipment, performing routine inspections and supporting maintenance tasks. Flexible hours and overtime may be required to meet production needs.

• Ability to operate equipment under varying working conditions.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Schedule- 3:30PM - 11:30PM Monday- Friday.
• Monitor, clean and inspect plant production equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Operate mobile equipment including fork lift and skid loader.
• Assist other workers as needed.
• Cleanup and other duties as assigned.
