Job summary

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) in Frederick, MD, seeks an Associate Production Laboratory Technician to perform hands-on production of reference standards in the RSP area.

This non-supervisory, single contributor role emphasizes safety, accurate sampling, batch records, and use of ERP systems and lab equipment such as fillers, pH meters, autoclaves, and capping/crimping machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical science; four years of related work experience may substitute.
• Relevant training in aseptic techniques and handling of biological materials; substitutes allowed.
• Must be able to pass PPE requirements and pulmonary function test.
• Must be able to wear an N95 respirator.
• Immunization for Hepatitis B or able to decline vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Produce USP Reference Standards and Materials per USP procedures.
• Maintain safety and quality culture in the production environment.
• ,
• Operate production equipment (fillers, labelers, autoclaves) and document processes.
• Prepare test samples and document in Oracle ERP.
• Assist with inventory and supply chain tasks.
• Identify basic production issues and seek guidance.
