Job summary

OX Paperboard WP, LLC is seeking entry-level Production Labor candidates for our White Pigeon, MI facility. This hourly position starts at $28.43 per hour with a rotating 4-crew schedule (1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts).

You will support paperboard production, operate equipment safely, and participate in routine inspections and housekeeping across shifts. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong commitment to working safe and following safety rules.
• Desire to learn manufacturing processes and advance within the company.
• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Drug test and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various manufacturing equipment and use power hand tools as directed.
• Work safely, follow all safety rules, and lift/push/pull more than 50 lbs; navigate stairs and move about shifts.
• Read a tape measure to 1/16 in and apply basic math and computer skills.
• Inspections on equipment and reporting of any questionable conditions.
• Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing duties to keep areas clean and debris-free.
• Prioritize work to keep the paper machine running smoothly.
• Forklift and skid steer experience is desired; assist with roll finishing, loading trucks, and unloading bales.

Ox Paperboard WP, LLC is seeking qualified candidates to fill the Production Labor Position in the production department. This is an entry level, hourly position where advancement in operations is expected. Starting hourly rate is $28.43/ hour.

The mill operates on a 4 crew, Southern Swing Rotation so you will work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift each month.

• Week 1
  • 1st shift (7am - 3pm) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Off Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Week 2
  • 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) Monday and Tuesday, Off Wednesday and Thursday, then 1st shift (7am - 3pm) Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Week 3
  • Off Monday and Tuesday then 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) Wednesday, thru Sunday
• Week 4
  • 3rd shift (11pm-7am) Monday thru Sunday

Weeks swing 3 rd to 1 st , 1 st to 2 nd then 2 nd to 3rd

How you will impact Ox Paperboard WP, LLC

Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, operate power hand tools, and other duties as assigned.

Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurement) and basic math and computer skills.

Performs inspections on various equipment for proper operation and report questionable conditions.

Performs various housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris.

Prioritizes work and takes appropriate action to ensure paper machine remains operational.

Forklift and skid steer experience is desired.

Roll finishing (banding, labeling, sorting)

What you need to succeed

High school diploma or GED preferred

Strong commitment to working safe, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery and have a desire to advance within the company

Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
