Job summary

Myers Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Inventory Control Manager II to optimize scheduling and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

The role oversees production scheduling across sites, with potential warehouse responsibilities including shipping and receiving, and leads cross-functional collaboration withSales, Customer Service, Shipping, Purchasing, Production, and Accounting to align processes and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Production Scheduling or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing inventory management and/or production scheduling.
• 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems; Syspro preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and execute production control procedures for optimal material movement.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules; review constraints and adjust as needed.
• Identify capacity constraints from production specs and report them.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure ERP reflects current stock levels.
• Flag manpower and material shortages and help resolve gaps.
• Track weekly production status and eliminate blockers to meet schedules.
• Monitor demand forecasts, raw materials, and finished goods for on-time delivery.
• Coordinate production and warehouse plans to meet orders and shipments.
• Ensure accurate cycle counts and optimal inventory costs.
• Lead continuous improvement and best-practice process implementations.
