Job summary

JBS USA is seeking team members for harvesting and processing roles on our production floor. You will handle live animal unloading, humane stunning, hide removal, and carcass trimming to meet customer specifications.

Position involves hands-on work with knives and powered tools, operating scales, and shipping finished products to customers. Competitive base pay is offered with benefits after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a harvesting/processing setting.

Responsibilities

• Unload and segregate live animals for harvest.
• Stunning animals to move them onto the harvest floor.
• Remove hides with dehider knives or powered tools.
• Harvest blood and prepare products for customers.
• Trim carcasses and offal for customer specifications.
• Operate scales and ensure proper payments to producers.
• Breakdown primals and trim products to spec.
• Box, bag, and ship trimmed products as orders arrive.

Responsibilities:

Candidates will have the ability to work in a setting that will require that they work at harvesting the animals and or work at preparing the product to be ready for shipment to customers. Work may involve the use of hand tools, such as knives and hooks and also could involve using powered industrial hand tools such as saws, skinners or other powered knives.

Job Tasks

• Unloading and segregating live animals in a humane manner and prepare for entering Harvest Floor.
• Stunning animals in a humane way to enter the harvest floor.
• Hide removal using dehider knives and other powered equipment.
• Harvesting of blood on the harvest floor and prepare for customer.
• Trimming of carcasses free of contaminates.
• Harvest of all offal products and prepare for customer.
• Operate scales to properly weigh proper payment to producers as well as receive proper payment from customers.
• Breakdown carcasses and save primals as desired by customers.
• Trim product to customer specifications.
• Box & bag trim and primals to customer specifications.
• Operate lifts to move product into storage and to prepare for shipment.
• Shipping of product as orders are received.
