Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring for an hourly production team member. Positions start on first shift at $16.65 per hour and on second shift at $18.15 per hour, with an attendance bonus of $2.75 per hour if qualifications are met.

You will work in a safety‑conscious environment, perform basic processing tasks, follow procedures, and collaborate with teammates. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) contributions, and tuition assistance through the Better Futures Program.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely.
• Must be able to work assigned day/night shifts, including some Saturdays.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and comprehend basic procedures.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures around 40 degrees.
• Good hand–eye coordination and teamwork to work near others.

Responsibilities

• Process product using tools, manual labor, and equipment per USDA standards.
• Follow operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions or safety concerns.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Processes product using tools (to include knives), manual labor, and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim’s Company product standards and procedures.
• Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
• Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
• Clean and organized work area.
• Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
• Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams.
• Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
• Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.
• Other duties as directed.

Basic Skills And Qualifications
