Job summary

Charles Industries, An Amphenol Company is seeking a Group Lead – Production to guide the department, supervise teams, and ensure on-time delivery of production units and samples. You will oversee safety training, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives with collaboration from engineering and management.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and familiarity with blueprints, BOMs, and MS Office. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One-year certification from college or technical school.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience overseeing a team.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities and employees to produce products on schedule.
• Provide training on safely using department machinery, tools, equipment, and controls.
• Conduct initial accident investigations and prepare required documents.
• Work with scheduling to determine the next process.
• Maintain efficiency, utilization, on-time delivery, and first pass yield through quality.
• Record production results, scrap or KPIs on the department display board every 2 hours.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production Manager to optimize processes.
• Resolve floor problems through effective communication with management.
• Maintain continuous workflow and notify Production Manager of potential downtime.
• Manage inventory and accurate control/accountability.
• Occasionally drive a forklift to move materials and clear lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
