Ravago Manufacturing Americas in Baytown, TX is seeking a Production Forklift Driver to support safe, efficient production and warehouse operations by transporting finished products and packaging materials throughout the facility.

You will supply packaging lines, relocate finished goods and purge material, complete required paperwork, and maintain a clean, organized work environment while following safety and PPE rules.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Warehouse or Manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience driving a forklift; double forklift preferred.
  • Knowledge of PPE requirements.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills.
  • Ability to learn business software and operate systems.
  • Fluency in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Move product with forklift from packaging line to bay locations.
  • Report any damage or deficiencies to Packaging Lead or Operator.
  • Fill out required paperwork for a production run.
  • Perform assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
  • Keep floor free of debris such as pellets or wood shavings between orders.
  • Move purge material to designated areas and purge pallets to proper locations.
  • Retrieve empty pallets from truck yard and keep lines stocked.
  • Support Packaging Associate role when needed.
  • Follow all safety and PPE rules and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by packaging lead or supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job description

Purpose

The Production Forklift Driver is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and accurate production and warehouse operations by transporting finished products, packaging materials, and production by-products throughout the facility. This role ensures uninterrupted production flow by supplying packaging lines with materials, relocating finished goods and purge material to designated areas, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and accurately completing required documentation. The Production Forklift Driver works closely with Packaging Operators, Packaging Leads, and Supervisors to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards while providing operational flexibility to support packaging activities as business needs require.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect an appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

  • Use a forklift to move product from packaging line and/or into a bay location
  • Report any visual damage or deficiencies to Packaging Operator and /or Packaging Lead
  • Accurately fill out any required paperwork for a production run
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
  • Keep floor clean of any pellet's/wood shavings in between orders
  • Move purge from the line to required areas
  • Move full purge pallets to required locations
  • Keep empty pallets stocked at the line by retrieving them from truck yard
  • Be able to fill the Packaging Associate roll when needed
  • Work safely and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the packaging lead or packaging Supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Warehouse or Manufacturing environment (Required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience driving a forklift (Required) Double forklift (Preferred)
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to departmental work instructions and procedures. (Required)
  • Knowledge of proper PPE requirements (Required)
  • Basic computer skills (Required)
  • Good math, language, and reading skills (Required)
  • Entry-level proficiency with technology, including the ability to learn and effectively use business software, mobile devices and operation systems (Required)

  • Language: Must be able to read, write and speak English (Required) bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (Preferred)
Work Environment / Conditions
  • Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including non-climate-controlled environment, with exposure to heat, humidity, and cold temperatures depending upon season

  • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, squat, bend, climb, carry, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift to 55 lbs
  • Must be able to climb straight incline ladders, access elevated platforms, and work around industrial machinery.
  • Must have sufficient hand and finger dexterity for packaging, equipment operation, and documentation.
  • Must have adequate vision, including color vision, to identify materials, labels, and safety indicators.

Must be able to work extended periods in a hot, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
