Primary Job Function
Supervise, instruct and motivate the Team to meet or exceed departmental goals and objectives. Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices of a field or specialization. May supervise or lead one or more functional areas. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Administer company policies, procedures and practices in a consistent manner.
- Initiate coaching and problem‑solving activities that maintain a productive relationship with Associates.
- Remain accessible to Associates for the majority of the time and respond to concerns, complaints, problems and suggestions in a reasonable period.
- Use leadership and motivational techniques to maintain a productive and satisfied department work group.
- Select, train and develop Associates through skill assessment and coordination of training resources.
- Plan and execute daily activities according to departmental production requirements.
- Plan short‑term activities to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Manage efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and materials to promote safety, housekeeping, quality and reduce scrap.
- Maintain or improve customer service through participation in Concern/Resolution Request Form (CRRF), 8‑D, concern‑summary resolution teams and correct implementation of ECN and ISO processes.
- Develop and initiate timely, accurate and cost‑effective improvement plans using Associate resources.
- Plan and execute company initiatives such as TPM and suggestion program.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Associate’s degree or enrollment toward an Associate’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required.
- General knowledge of personal computers (MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and an ERP system).

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
- Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the workday.
- Hand and eye coordination required.
Travel Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a passport.
- Travel within the U.S. and Canada up to 5%, usually in Southeast Michigan.
