Overview
The Production Engineering Technician reports to the Production Engineering Manager and assists the production team with assembly, maintenance, and process improvement of test setups. This role supports manufacturing objectives, defect reduction initiatives, and the implementation of new and existing processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain new systems and processes for products.
- Develop and maintain testing policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Achieve targeted manufacturing objectives.
- Investigate, assess, and resolve production problems.
- Design and procure parts and tools required per product specifications.
- Understand capabilities of manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to procure equipment.

- Facilitate training to support a cross‑trained workforce.
- Adhere to safety, quality, housekeeping, and company policies.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of related production/operations experience.
- Attendance or completion of engineering or trade school in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or HVAC.
- U.S. citizenship.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/machine shop environment with exposure to fluids, fumes, airborne particles, moving parts, and noise.
- Use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.).
- Temperature may vary due to machining processes.
- Full‑time position; overtime and weekend work may be required.
- 0 to 15% travel expected.
Physical Requirements
- Regular talking, hearing, and vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth).
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, stooping, or crouching.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
