Job summary

Meta seeks Production Engineers to build and optimize the infrastructure behind our apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook. You will write high-quality code, solve live production issues, and partner across teams to scale services used by billions.

You will own back-end services, participate in on-call rotations, and leverage AI tools to land productionized code while driving reliability and performance improvements across Meta's vast platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Linux or UNIX-like OS.
• 2+ years of coding in Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust or Go.
• Experience with learning software, frameworks and APIs.
• Familiarity with internet service architecture and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of web technologies and architectures (LAMP/MEAN, CDN, load balancing).
• Experience configuring infrastructure apps like Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Own back-end services including fleet management and core Meta services.
• Write and review code, use AI tools to productionize code, document and plan capacity.
• Share on-call rotation and act as escalation contact for incidents.
• Collaborate with engineers on scalable code and systems used by billions.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, scalability, and performance.
