Job summary

CSL is seeking an engineer to support manufacturing equipment reliability in a GMP environment in Bradley, IL. You will lead daily decisions, manage maintenance activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset availability and lifecycle cost.

The role requires at least 2 years in pharma/food/chemical processing, knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean, and experience with cGMPs. Occasional CapEx/OpEx project work and audits are involved.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical process industries.
• Experience leading day-to-day decisions and personnel management.
• Six Sigma/Lean knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cGMPs in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish within time and budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline engineering support for manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime while ensuring GMP compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures using reliability methods and RCA/CAPAs.
• Analyze asset health data in CMMS (SAP) and monitor MTBF/MTTR metrics.
• Support change control processes and continuous improvement for asset availability and lifecycle cost.
• Maintain asset records including URS/FS, P&IDs, manuals, and SAP CMMS data.
• Assist shutdowns and equipment projects funded by CapEx/OpEx.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and ISO 55000; participate in audits and documentation.
