Job summary

Haigh-Farr Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Engineer for our 2nd Shift in Bedford, NH, with a strong commitment to quality on schedule. The role involves facilitating product flow, identifying bottlenecks, mitigating manufacturing risks, and leading projects for new products in production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and Lean/Six Sigma training is preferred. US citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Must be collaborative, working with engineering, technicians, machinists and quality control.
  • Proficiency in CAD software is preferred.
  • Must be able to inspect parts using typical inspection tools and techniques.
  • Attention to detail at the highest level is required.
  • Experience in working from prints required.
  • Strong commitment to achieving quality work.
  • Team player who will pitch in where needed to get the job done.
  • Must be organized and maintain a clean working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the flow of products through the production process.
  • Identify and resolve any bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production process.
  • Identify potential technical or manufacturing risks and mitigate issues.
  • Lead projects related to the introduction of new products in production.
  • Complete the production and manufacturing of products through the use of hand tools, fabrication techniques and on-the-job training.
  • Use critical thinking to evaluate information and make informed decisions.
  • Maintain proper documentation.
  • Assist in production planning and scheduling.
  • The ideal candidate will work within the engineering group on the 1st shift for a few months before transitioning to the production floor.

Haigh-Farr is a premier antenna design, manufacturing and test house developing products used across all platforms in the aerospace industry including missions to Mars, the International Space Station and products fielded to the U.S. Military supporting the warfighter. Haigh-Farr is seeking an experienced Production Engineer for our 2nd Shift with a strong commitment to achieving quality work on scheduled timelines. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to facilitate the flow of product through a production environment while analyzing and improving processes.A 10% Shift Differential will be paid with the option of working 4-10's.

Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will work within the engineering group on the 1st shift for a few months before transitioning to the production floor.

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training is preferred
  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience is a plus
  • U.S. citizenship required, with ability to possess a security clearance
