Job summary

Mountain Machining is seeking a Production Programmer/Engineer to join the Production Development Team in West Valley, UT. You will program Mastercam for multi-axis machines, design fixtures in SolidWorks, and develop efficient manufacturing plans for lathes, mills and screw machines with automation focus.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in Mastercam, SolidWorks, GD&T, and CNC programming for production machining, plus familiarity with HAAS, Mori Seiki, Nakamura and Okuma controls.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and incorporate instructions, work orders and engineered drawings.
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes (machine setups, usage, optimizations, etc.)
• 3-5+ years’ experience with GD&T and inspection practices.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in programming and development setups on CNC machines for mills and lathes.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in Mastercam using mill and lathe toolpaths.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in SolidWorks creating fixturing and prints.

Responsibilities

• Programming in Mastercam software for multi axis Mori Seiki, Okuma, HAAS, and Nakamura machines.
• Designing fixtures or work holding in SolidWorks.
• Mastercam use on Mills and Lathes, including mill-turn and multi-axis toolpaths.
• Develop new processes and CNC programs, and set-up multi-axis machines with the intent to hand-off parts to the production team.
• Developing and optimizing manufacturing plans for current and new parts to run in the most efficient manner.
• Assisting other engineers, production personnel, etc. to resolve machining or manufacturing problems.
• Follows procedures as defined by Desert Tech policies, procedures and ISO9001 requirements.

Production Programmer/Engineer.

Mountain Machining is a growing manufacturer who specializes in firearm parts. We are seeking a qualified individual to join our Production Development Team as a Production Programmer/Engineer.

We are looking for someone knowledgeable and experienced in Machining and Programming who can incorporate ideas to minimize costs without sacrificing the quality of product. We want someone who can assist our team in developing and implementing Manufacturing Plans for Lathes, Mills and Screw Machines with use of SolidWorks and Mastercam, with experience in Production Machining Automation.

• Tech school certification in programming and machining.
• Black belt in lean manufacturing.
