(LGCTA) is actively seeking a Production Engineer to join our Production Team in Clarksville, TN.The Production Engineer will report directly to the Production Manager and support production planning, manufacturing systems administration, inventory control, operational reporting, and daily production operations. This position will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to help ensure efficient plant operations and support continuous improvement initiatives.The role will regularly collaborate with both U.S. operations and LG Chem headquarters in Korea, supporting cross-functional communication, reporting, and operational coordination.This position plays an important role in maintaining production schedules, supporting manufacturing systems, managing production-related materials and consumables, and providing operational data to support business decisions.As a growing manufacturing operation, this position requires flexibility and adaptability to support evolving business needs during startup and ramp-up activities. Responsibilities may occasionally extend beyond primary job functions in support of operational readiness and plant objectives.This position is based full-time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.What You’ll Be DoingEssential Functions (include but are not limited to):Production Planning & SchedulingSupport daily, weekly, and monthly production planning and scheduling activities.Monitor production schedules and coordinate adjustments to meet operational requirements.Track production performance and support capacity planning activities.Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to support production targets.Assist with production reporting and operational planning processes.Manufacturing Systems & Data ManagementUtilize SAP, MES, and other manufacturing systems to collect, organize, and analyze production and operational data.Maintain production data and system records to support accurate reporting and operational decision-making.Generate production reports, KPI dashboards, inventory reports, and operational performance summaries.Validate and reconcile operational data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support reporting and data management needs.Coordinate with headquarters personnel and external system vendors regarding reporting requirements, data issues, and system-related inquiries.Support user testing and implementation of system enhancements as needed.Inventory & Material ManagementMonitor inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.Support inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy activities.Coordinate material availability to support production schedules.Track material consumption and identify inventory shortages or excess stock.Maintain inventory-related records and reports within company systems.Consumables Purchasing & Operational SupportCoordinate purchasing requests for production consumables, spare parts, and operational supplies.Monitor consumable usage and support inventory replenishment activities.Communicate with suppliers to support timely delivery of required materials.Maintain purchasing records and support procurement administration activities.KPI Reporting & Data AnalysisMaintain production performance reports and operational dashboards.Track manufacturing KPIs including production output, yield, schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, equipment utilization, and operational cost metrics.Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for plant leadership.Identify trends and support operational improvement activities through data analysis.Communication & Continuous ImprovementSupport communication and reporting activities with LG Chem headquarters in Korea.Prepare operational reports, presentations, and meeting materials.Participate in process improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.Assist in developing and maintaining operational procedures, work instructions, and documentation.Startup & Operational SupportSupport plant startup, commissioning, ramp-up, and operational readiness activities as required.Participate in cross-functional activities to support production, maintenance, equipment preparation, housekeeping, and operational improvement initiatives.Provide operational support during schedule adjustments, shift changes, weekend coverage, or special plant activities as needed.Assist with various plant projects and startup-related tasks outside of normal responsibilities to support business and operational goals.Provide hands-on support for manufacturing operations as needed, including production support activities during staffing shortages, startup events, or periods of increased operational demand.Demonstrate flexibility in supporting a broad range of operational activities to help ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking ForCompetencies/Desired Skills:Production Planning & CoordinationKnowledge of production planning, scheduling, manufacturing workflows, and operational coordination within a manufacturing environment .Manufacturing SystemsExperience working with ERP, MES, SAP, or other manufacturing systems. Ability to maintain system data integrity and generate operational reports.Inventory & Material ManagementUnderstanding of inventory control, material flow, and consumable management within manufacturing operations.Data Analysis & Problem SolvingAbility to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret operational data to support informed decision-making.CommunicationAbility to communicate effectively with plant personnel, management, suppliers, and LG Chem headquarters. Experience supporting cross-functional and multinational business communication is preferred..Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.Requirements:Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, operations support, inventory management, manufacturing systems, or related functions.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience with SAP, MES, ERP, or similar business systems.Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Ability to wear required PPE and work within manufacturing environments.Ability to work flexible schedules as required to support business and operational needs.Willingness to support startup, commissioning, ramp-up, and special operational activities.Willingness to support hands-on operational activities within a manufacturing environment as business needs require.Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic manufacturing startup environment.Preferred Qualification/What We’d Like to See:Experience in battery, chemical, automotive, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing industries.Experience supporting SAP, MES, or production management systems.Experience with production scheduling and inventory management.Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment.Experience supporting communication and collaboration with overseas headquarters or global teams.Ability to support meetings, reports, and business communication involving both U.S. and Korea-based stakeholders.Korean language proficiency is a plus.Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Work EnvironmentThe working conditions (including the general work environment, and table with physical/mental demands) in this job description reflect the typical conditions you can expect while performing the essential functions of this job.
