Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Production Control Coordinator for the Materials Labs on a temporary basis. This role acts as a liaison between the lab team and customers, ensuring materials and test articles flow smoothly to meet stringent deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities include tracking parts, protecting them per specifications, maintaining ERP data accuracy, coordinating with supply chain, and producing actionable reports for internal and customer use.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ years of experience supporting administrative processes.
  • Strong computer skills and MS Office familiarity.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and SQL/Tableau.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and move parts to ensure timely delivery to next production location.
  • Ensure parts are handled, packaged and protected properly within specifications.
  • Maintain scans and location accuracy in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams for on-time delivery of parts and services.
  • Keep ERP data clean and accurate with planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams.
  • Assist with resolution of incorrect system data affecting demand or schedules.
  • Develop and maintain reports for internal and customer use.
  • Support logistics and staging of workflow as required.
  • Manage material certifications and prevent use of uncertified materials.
  • Interface with outsource vendors for external material testing.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR, MATERIALS LABS - TEMPORARY

The Production Control Coordinator is a critical position within our team. This role is responsible for serving as a liaison between our internal lab team and the customers (we support requests from every program at the company) we support, ensuring that materials and test articles flow smoothly through the lab to meet stringent deadlines and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the company to ensure timely delivery to next production location
  • Ensure parts are handled, packaged and protected properly within the company specifications
  • Ensure that scans and location accuracy is maintained within the shop and the company’s ERP system
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery of piece parts and outside services as required
  • Work with the planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure ERP data is and remains clean and accurate
  • Assist with resolution of incorrect system data which is driving inappropriate demand, schedules, or could result in general failure
  • Develop and maintain reports to highlight needs, deliverables and constraints as required for internal and customer use
  • Support logistics process through innovative staging of workflow as required
  • Support management of material certifications as required – prevent use of un-certified materials
  • Interface and coordinate with outsource vendors for any external material testing
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience supporting administrative processes
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years of experience handling parts in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong computer skills and familiar MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in organizing files and documents
  • Inventory experience
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environments
  • SQL and Tableau experience
  • APICS certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Nominal hours – 1st shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:Level 1: $22.00 - $24.50Level 2: $24.00 - $27.50Level 3: $27.00 - $31.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at the company. You may also be eligible for potential discretionary bonuses. You will also be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees accrue paid sick leave pursuant to Company policy which satisfies or exceeds the accrual, carryover, and use requirements of the law.
