Job summary

Fathom is seeking a Production Coordinator in Hartland, WI to plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities ensuring on-time delivery and optimal resource use. You will liaise with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement to maintain schedules and inventory while supporting ERP Go-Live with GSS.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing or industrial engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; ERP Go-Live experience and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management.
  • Prior experience navigating a major ERP Go-Live implementation highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Execute and maintain production schedules based on customer demands, forecasts, and inventory levels.
  • Inventory & Material Control: Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels; ensure material availability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track production output, efficiency, and adherence to schedules; analyze variances.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise between production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams; manage bottlenecks and expedites.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Participate in ERP implementation with GSS; migrate data, test workflows, and support post-go-live issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize processes and reduce waste; support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.

Job/Position Summary

The Production Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficient operations, optimal resource utilization, and on-time delivery. This role acts as a key link between manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to maintain production schedules, control inventory levels, and drive operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Execute and maintain production schedules based on customer demands, forecasts, and inventory levels. Coordinate daily and weekly production plans with manufacturing teams. Adjust schedules as needed to address changes in demand, labor availability, or equipment issues.
  • Inventory & Material Control: Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory levels. Ensure availability of materials to support uninterrupted production. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to manage shortages or excess stock.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track production output, efficiency, and adherence to schedules. Analyze variances between planned and actual production. Generate reports and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams. Communicate production priorities, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and manage customer material expedites. Support new product launches and process changes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Actively participate in the Global Shop Solutions (GSS) ERP implementation team, including data migration, system testing, user acceptance workflows, and post-go-live troubleshooting. Use data to identify trends and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize production processes and reduce waste. Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives. Support implementation of best practices in planning and scheduling.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management
  • Prior experience navigating a major ERP Go-Live implementation highly preferred
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions (GSS) software is a plus
  • Basic understanding of blueprints, part identification and inspection requirements preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and management skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and/or SharePoint
