Job description

The Production Coordinator is a vital member of the Service Programming Department with the primary role of offering support for all the technical systems at Church at Viera (CAV).This person will report to the Production Director and work closely with, and contribute to, the weekend planning team. They will be responsible for contributing to the design, engineering, and maintenance of all audio, video, and lighting systems, production related computers and equipment at CAV. The Production Coordinator will aid in the training and development of volunteers to serve on the Production Team. This position will also provide technical excellence for all weekend services and church related events.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all audio, video, lighting, and control systems are operating at peak performance.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance as well as installing and integrating new equipment and technology
  • Serve as part of the Service Programming Department and work closely with the Worship Pastor, the Music Director, and the Production Director, and other staff to meet the need and support the vision of the church
  • Participate as a member of the weekend planning team to creatively contribute to technical and production plans
  • Maintain inventory and care for all production-related equipment
  • Recruit, train, and lead production volunteers
  • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma
  • Formal training, specifically in audio, video, lighting, and control systems disciplines preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in a church or ministry preferred
  • Audio engineering background necessary
  • Lighting experience in multi-universe DMX environment necessary
  • 2+ years hands‑on experience with technology in a modern production environment required
  • 2+ years in a Production Coordinator role or equivalent experience preferred
SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products and general database applications
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks without direction
  • Ability to deal with problems efficiently and effectively while maintaining good working relationshipsExcellent communication skills (phone, written, and in person)
  • Media and presentation software in context of worship services (lower thirds/overlays, multi-output projection, ProPresenter, etc.)
  • Network audio protocols such as DANTE
  • Modern worship service production techniques and elements including large format audio and lighting consoles
  • Must possess the skills necessary to train and instruct volunteers and others
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and work from ladders and elevated positions when necessary.
EXPECTED HOURS TO WORK

Schedule Expectations: Sunday – Thursday. Hours may vary based on church needs and may include working full weekends.

CAV hosts several large events (All Hands on Deck) throughout the year. These events are mandatory for all staff.
