Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate field production partners across job sites to allocate labor.
  • Align manpower planning with field execution and schedules.
  • Coordinate temporary labor via XCast, including requests, tracking, and time approval.
  • Assist in partner evaluations and reviews.
  • Track and report daily/weekly production metrics.
  • Plan weekly work schedules, trainings, and resource allocation with project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and job walks.
  • Support with PCAF and PTF tracking.
  • Maintain journeyman-apprentice ratios on projects.
  • Assist field partners with benefits and policy questions.

Job Summary

The Production Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting field operations by managing workforce logistics, coordinating project resources, and ensuring alignment between project schedules, manpower, and fabrication. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to drive operational excellence in mechanical construction projects.

Essential Duties
  • Assist leaders with coordinating field production Partners across job sites, ensuring appropriate labor allocation to meet project needs.
  • Work closely with leaders to align manpower planning, field execution, and strategic workforce decisions.
  • Assist leaders with coordinating temporary labor through XCast, including requests, tracking, performance, and time approval.
  • Assist in coordinating Partner evaluations, including mid-year and end-of-year reviews.
  • Track and report daily and weekly production metrics (labor hours, installed quantities, schedule progress).
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan weekly work schedules, trainings, resource allocation, and manpower needs.
  • Participate in project meetings and job walks as required.
  • Participate in badging, map distribution, jobsite location information to Partners
  • Support leaders with meeting preparation, superintendent meetings, tracking Partner PCAF and PTF
  • Assist in maintaining Journeyman to Apprentice ratios on projects
  • Provide support to field Partners with benefit questions and policy/handbook questions
  • Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum certifications/license required of the position

Minimumexperience required of the position

5+ years of experience in a construction, manufacturing, or project coordination role preferred.

Familiarity with mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) and installation practices is a plus.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and Excel

Working Conditions

This role is performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions. The job involves remaining stationary for extended periods, frequent computer use, and occasional movement to access office resources. Physical effort is generally sedentary, with occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds. Standard business hours apply, with occasional overtime during peak periods.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.

The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The ability to observe details at close range.

May move materials and documents weighing up to 15 pounds across the office for various needs.

Job Band and Level

Requires full proficiency gained through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a range of tasks. Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for colleague(s) with less experience.
