Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking a full-time kitchen team member to prepare patient, retail, and catering meals according to production records. You will handle advance prep, organize ingredients for high-volume service, and help maintain a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

This role requires the ability to follow recipes, communicate in English, and work with a team to meet daily goals. A High School Grad is preferred, with 2+ years in institutional cooking and ServeSafe

Qualifications

• English communication skills sufficient to interact with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production records.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Physical ability to perform duties in a kitchen environment.

Job Description

Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals by following culinary production records, including short‑order and batch cooking to ensure quality and temperature standards. Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high‑volume production needs. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment and surfaces meet health standards and recording temperatures according to regulatory requirements. Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste. Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals, communicate needs, and support efficient food service delivery. Other duties as assigned.
