Qualifications

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate production schedules and priorities with Customer Service and Production.
Monitor production progress and identify delays, bottlenecks, and schedule risks.
Coordinate material availability and WIP to support production schedules.
Communicate production priorities, delays, material shortages, and schedule changes.
Participate in DVM meetings and communicate required actions.
Monitor job variances and assist with investigating production and material issues.
Maintain accurate raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Process purchase orders, requisitions, receiving, and inventory transactions in ERP.
Close completed production jobs and investigate negative inventory and transaction errors.
Monitor inventory movement and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and material flow.
Generate and review production, inventory, transaction, and job variance reports.
Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, production risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
Follow up on system and transaction errors to ensure timely correction.
Maintain production notes, schedules, and required documentation.
Communicate effectively with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, Shipping, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Plant Management.
Provide timely updates regarding production delays, material concerns, inventory discrepancies, and customer delivery risks.

We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Production Control Supervisor to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating production activities, monitoring schedules and material availability, maintaining accurate production and inventory information, and supporting the timely flow of work through the manufacturing process. The Production Control Supervisor works closely with Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Plant Management to ensure production priorities, materials, and information are aligned to meet customer delivery requirements. This position plays an important role in identifying production delays, inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and scheduling concerns while maintaining accurate ERP transactions and supporting continuous improvement throughout the plant.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Range: $66,000-85,000/year (Starting rate commensurate with experience)

First Shift

Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

Coordinate production schedules and priorities with Customer Service and Production.
Monitor production progress and identify delays, bottlenecks, and schedule risks.

Communicate production priorities, delays, material shortages, and schedule changes.

Maintain production notes, schedules, and required documentation.

Provide timely updates regarding production delays, material concerns, inventory discrepancies, and customer delivery risks.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

Identify opportunities to improve production flow, inventory accuracy, scheduling, and efficiency.
Assist with identifying root causes and resolving recurring production issues.
Follow and promote company safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Qualifications

2- or 4-year degree in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business, or related field; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.
Manufacturing experience preferred, particularly in metal fabrication or a similar environment.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and follow issues through resolution.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
