Job summary

Standard Iron, a contract manufacturer with 90+ years of industry presence, is seeking a Production Control Supervisor in Sauk Centre, MN. The role ensures fabrication capacity hits external client and internal target dates and coordinates the schedule with supervisors and customer service.

Qualified candidates have a 2- or 4-year degree or equivalent manufacturing experience, strong production control knowledge, good communication and supervisory skills, and proficiency in Outlook, Word and

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Production Schedule with Customer Service Supervisor and Shift Supervisors.
  • Organize material location.
  • Determine material flow and ensure that manufacturing is working on the right product.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is correctly processed through the computer and manual paperwork systems.
  • Ensure raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory is accurate.
  • Perform Cycle Counts.
  • Lead DVM Meetings.
  • Monitor Job Variance Report.
  • Responsible for ensuring subordinate activities are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop personnel and effectively utilize equipment to obtain economical results.
  • Investigate major production delays and initiate corrective action.
  • Discuss issues with the Plant Manager.
  • Ensure production results meet methods, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Oversee building to production schedules and delivery dates.
  • Work with Supervisors to improve processes.
  • Maintain safe and efficient equipment and facilities.
  • Complete injury investigations and safety trainings.
  • Develop positive relationships with manufacturing and adhere to company policies.

Available Shift:
  • 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
Education and/or Skill Level Required:
  • 2- or 4-year degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.

Supervision Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring that subordinate activities are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop personnel and effectively utilize equipment to obtain the most economical results.
  • Personally investigate major production delays and initiate corrective action.
  • Discuss issues such as personnel problems and employee attitudes with the Plant Manager.
  • Work with Production Supervisors to ensure that they understand the responsibility and accountability for production results in terms of methods, quality, and efficiency of production.
  • Oversee the building to production schedules and meeting/beat delivery dates.
  • Work with Production Supervisors and/or Manufacturing Engineers to improve process.
Safety Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining the equipment and facility in safe and efficient working order.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all First Report of Injury and Accident Investigations are completed and followed up in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for participating in developing and implementing employee safety training.
General Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the computer system.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with manufacturing.
  • Develop enthusiasm and respect for the company with careful adherence to its policies and goals.
  • Perform diversified work assignments as the need arises.
