Job summary

MiTek is seeking a Production Planner assistant to support the production scheduling process, monitor orders, and maintain accurate records in ERP systems. The role involves collaborating with manufacturing, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure timely execution of orders.

The position requires high attention to detail, basic ERP understanding, and the ability to learn and operate Microsoft Office tools. Office-based with factory access may be required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required
• Associates Related Field preferred
• Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
• 1-2 Years of experience in a manufacturing or production control environment required
• Basic understanding of ERP systems or willingness to learn required
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills required
• Able to use Microsoft Office Applications

• Support the preparation of production schedules based on existing orders and customer priorities.
• Participate in routine inventory tasks such as cycle counts.

• Help track inventory levels and incoming materials under guidance from senior staff.
• Enter and review data to ensure order and inventory accuracy.
• Perform basic analysis related to production timing and capacity under direction.

Physical Demands

This role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role, the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes. This may will result in being exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes and navigate around factory machines.
