Job summary

Kalmbach Feeds in Cumberland County, PA is seeking a diligent Control Room Operator to learn and operate our automated pelleting systems, focusing on safety and quality while supporting our customers.

You will work with the pelleting system, perform preventative maintenance, document daily operations, and collaborate across departments to keep facilities clean and running smoothly.

• Operate automated pelleting system prioritizing safety and quality.
• Work directly with pelleting system to deliver superior feeds.
• Become subject expert on pelleting process and perform preventative greasing and adjustments.
• Collaborate with teams to support policies and protocols.
• Document daily operations to support procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventories of ingredients, parts, and orders.
• Assist in keeping facilities clean and orderly.
• Demonstrate basic arithmetic for data and process tasks.

About the Role:

Kalmbach Feeds objective for our Control Room Operator is a person who can work hard to learn our automated systems in a way to keep our team members safe, own quality of our superior feeds, and to work hard with other team members to delight our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate our automated pelleting system in a way that prioritizes safety and quality
• To work directly with Kalmbach’s pelleting system to ensure consistent superior feeds are delivered to our customers
• To become subject experts on the pelleting system with detailed knowledge in process flow and preform preventative greasing and adjustments to help keep our systems running efficiently
• To work directly with team members across the company and departments to ensure that all policies and protocols are supported in our operations
• Document daily operations in a manor to support Kalmbach’s document procedures
• Strive to keep correct and accurate inventories of ingredients, parts, and orders.
• Work along side other team members to complete needed tasks to keep our facilities clean and in the best operational order.
• Evidence of analytical reasoning and mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
