The Parts Distribution & Launch Coordinator supports material planning and logistics activities throughout new-model launches, coordinating with plant and central teams to help ensure launch milestones and production builds are supported. When there is no active launch, the role also coordinates plant-wide service, repair, shipment, and customs-clearance activities.

What you’ll do...

Launch Responsibilities
  • Provide MRC updates to support SMART system implementation.
  • Pick parts from new-model parts cribs for special runs.
  • Coordinate corporate packaging reviews and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate PFEP information.
  • Identify and resolve disconnects between PTME, the plant, and MP&L when material-flow plans are not aligned.
  • Resolve CMMS setup and data issues, including gaps in required information.
  • Assign new parts to the appropriate analyst code in CMMS.
  • Validate that the plant MP&L launch staffing plan and budget are sufficient to support a successful launch.
  • Ensure training for hourly and salaried MP&L plant launch team members is on schedule.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the MP&L launch team by prioritizing daily activities and coordinating the tools, materials, information, and resources needed.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver the MP&L launch timing plan, including GPDS milestones and deliverables.
  • Maintain confidentiality during the launch phase.
  • Participate with PTME, Production, and Safety in final-layout activities; establish and support production and material-flow plans, including installation or construction, execution, and buy-off.
  • Represent the MP&L perspective during launch, communicate current launch status to the plant, and request support resources according to priorities.
  • Ensure material planning, releases, and in-plant delivery dates support milestone builds, equipment trials, and run-offs.
  • Support PTME, ATNPC, and other launch-related parts and logistics needs.
  • Ensure operating system (DOS) requirements are implemented.
  • Support daily acceleration-build targets until planned JPH is reached.
Ongoing Plant Coordination & Logistics Responsibilities
  • Manage Hearns and Extreme Machine activities and coordinate occasional repairs to ATNPC.
  • Coordinate plant-wide RFS requests with Quality, Warranty & Test, MP&L, the resident engineer, Production, PTME, and other relevant teams.
  • Coordinate packaging shipments with hourly personnel.
  • Arrange and coordinate logistics, including FedEx, DHL, air freight, and Ascent ocean freight.
  • Coordinate daily customer returns from Mexico, Turkey, and Spain.
  • Fill GPIRS orders.
  • Resolve shipment issues and coordinate customs-clearance support for inbound and outbound international shipments.

You’ll have...

  • 3+ Years in Supply Chain / Logistics
  • Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salaried team members.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of projects and sees them through to completion with limited supervision.
  • Must exhibit outstanding ONE FORD behaviors.

Even better, you may have...

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics
