Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler in Michigan to produce daily and weekly production schedules for final assembly, sub-assembly and machining. The role uses CMMS to coordinate lines and communicate shipping intentions, tracks shipments, and supports schedule changes and count processes.

You will interact with plant personnel, logistics carriers and suppliers, ensuring accuracy in counts and inventory balances while providing daily line-ups to the MP&L team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Materials Planning, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Packaging.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with data analytics tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track daily shipping status and parts follow-up.
• Coordinate shipments with local suppliers and warehouses.

• Respond to schedule changes, quality, shipping issues.
• Assist in bailment activities and back up MP&L staff.

In this position...

In this role you will produce the daily and weekly production schedules for final, sub-assembly and machining (Volume/Mix/Sequence) and utilize the Common Material Management System (CMMS) Inventory Management System to schedule assembly lines and to communicate to customers

What You'll Do

• Produce the daily and weekly production schedules for final, sub-assembly and machining (Volume/Mix/Sequence)
• Utilize the Common Material Management System (CMMS) Inventory Management System to schedule assembly lines and to communicate to customers Sterling shipping intentions
• Follow up on VO shipments and distributions daily
• Support final balance outs and running changes to customers
• Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up and min/max reporting to support production schedule
• Coordinate shipments to and from local suppliers / warehouses
• Correct shipping transactions and monitor/validate production counts and scrap transactions
• Provide MP&L team with daily line-ups
• Perform cycle count analysis and control CMMS cycle entry
• Coordinate special counts to assure actual physical inventory balances match inventory records
• Assist with plant cycle schedule and count confirmation
• Respond to VO/PTO schedule changes, react to quality, shipping, and schedule changes
• Assist in managing bailment activities as the need arises
• Assist in backing up MP&L salaried personnel as required

You'll have

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Packaging
• Proven track record of successfully interacting with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistic carriers, and production suppliers
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• One or more years’ experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Prior experience utilizing ERP systems
• Prior experience with data analytics tools preferred
• Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability
• Validated ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Experience in Material Planning and Logistics experience desired
• Self-starter, with a history of working under tight deadlines

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.
